Adhure Adhure is stuck in my head on loop: Shakti Arora

Adhure Adhure, an upcoming romantic melodious song starring Indian Television actor Shakti Arora and model Chandini Sharma in a stellar music video directed by actor turned director Aslam Khan, known for his histrionics in films like Nayee Padosan, Welcome Back, Kaante among others, was shot today at Atharva College, Malad. Sung and composed by Shree D, the song is about a couple who start living together and later land in separation due to their personal egos, coming to realize that they are complete in being ‘adhure’ (incomplete).

The music video director Aslam Khan averred, “If you have a look at the music video, you will realize it is like a film, a four minute long film. It has a beginning, a midpoint and a definite end, albeit, with an incomplete touch to it... a perfect storyboard with an incomplete end.” On working with Shakti Arora and Chandini Sharma, Aslam Khan professed that they have been brilliant. “This song needed Shakti and Chandini only. They have performed really well on this track. It has been a wonderful experience,” he added.

Shakti Arora, who has made his mark on the Indian television scene with shows like Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hai and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, confessed that at first he thought it was just another song! “When I went through it, repeatedly hearing it, I came to realize that the song has a soul of its own. It has a Sufi-ish, feel-good, and the perfect choice for a long drive feel to it.” Chandini Sharma concurred with Shakti Arora, “It is a soulful song indeed! Upon hearing, you will realize that you are already connected to it. The song has the innocence while not being kiddish.”

Adhure Adhure is Aslam Khan’s twenty-fifth directorial venture. On being asked what he felt was different about working in front and behind camera, he expressed “Both are fantastic but there are many differences though. This I have realized because I am now working behind the camera. Just because I have been an actor myself, I know about all the nuances a director should take care of.”

“There goes a saying, ‘All’s well, that ends well’. I am glad it has actually shaped up the way I wanted it,” summed up Aslam Khan.

'Love is Love’, features India’s first openly gay celebrity and drag queen, Sushant Divgikar. ”Love is Love” is India’s first Pride anthem, a mix of classic Western dance music with both English and Hindi lyrics.  Divgikar, former Bigg Boss contestant will be out on iTunes, Spotify and all major digital platforms worldwide on April 2nd.

“The single ‘Love is Love’ speaks about equal love, about being true to one’s authentic self,” Sushant Divgikar said. 

Model, VJ, reality show participant, actor, singer, and now drag queen—Sushant Divgikar wears many hats. The 27-year-old, hailing from Mumbai, debuted as a drag queen in Delhi in September.

शिक्षाविद् रोहित शर्मा ने किया लंच ऐंड लर्न कॉन्फ्रेंस का आयोजन

 द यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ द वेस्ट ऑफ़ इंग्लैंड के लिए स्टूडेंट आउटरीच प्रोग्राम।

शिक्षाविद् रोहित शर्मा ने मुम्बई के अंधेरी (पूर्व) स्थित ललित होटल में लंच ऐंड लर्न कॉन्फ्रेंस का आयोजन किया । इस आयोजन में द यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ द वेस्ट ऑफ़ इंग्लैंड ( UWE) के प्रतिनिधियों नेहिस्सा लिया और ऑनलाइन कोर्सेस की उपलब्धता, यूनाइटेड किंगडम में पढ़ने और यूनाइटेड किंगडम में मास्टर्स प्रोग्राम के साथ वर्क प्लेसमेंट और वहां अप्लाई करने के बारे में और अधिकजानकारी दी।

द यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ द वेस्ट इंग्लैंड के बिज़नेस डेवलेपमेंट ऑफ़िसर और कंसल्टेंट रोहित शर्मा ने आगे कहा, "हम जिस तरह से सोचते और काम करते हैं, उसमें बदलाव लाने के लिए इस कॉन्फ्रेंस काआयोजन किया गया है। इसके अलावा इस आयोजन का मकसद ये भी है कि हम अपनी क्षमता में निरंतर सुधार ला सकें ताक़ि तमाम लोगों की अच्छी तरह से मदद हो सके और हम अपने उद्देश्योंको प्राप्त कर सकें। हम बाज़ार में हो रहे बदलाव के प्रति भी सजग हैं और हम इस बदलावों को लेकर संवेदनशील भी हैं। मुझे लगता है कि हमने अब तक जो मुकाम हासिल किया है, उसे लेकर हमसबको गर्व महसूस करना चाहिए और हम जिस दिशा में जा रहे हैं, उस बात की भी हमें बेहद ख़ुशी होनी चाहिए।" उन्होंने उच्च शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में काम करने के इतिहास का भी प्रदर्शन किया। शोध मेंसक्षम होना, कस्टमर सेवा, स्ट्रैटिजिक प्लानिंग और मार्केटिंग स्ट्रैटीजी उनकी ख़ूबियां हैं। रोहित शर्मा ने आगे कहा, "हम इसी तरह से विकास करते रहेंगे, ख़ुद को हालात के हिसाब से ढालते रहेंगे,बढ़-चढ़कर काम करते रहेंगे और इसी तरह से प्रतिसाद देते रहेंगे।"

पूरे कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान छात्र ध्यानमग्न होकर तमाम बातों को सुनते रहे, और इसमें बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया और UWE (ब्रिस्टल) के भविष्य को और सुनहरा बनाने में मदद की। रोहित शर्मा ने जाते-जाते कहा, "भारत दुनिया की सबसे तेज़ी से बढ़नेवाली अर्थव्यवस्था में से एक है। सही मायनों में एक ग्लोबलाइज़्ड दुनिया के ज़रिए ही इंग्लैंड के विश्वविद्यालयों में भारतीय छात्रों की भागीदारी बढ़सकती है।"

Standing Ovation for DS Pahwa’s Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye

Ace Director Raman Kumar, in association with Producer DS Pahwa, is back with an emotional rollercoaster of a play. Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye stars Sudha Chandran and Ridhima Rakesh Bedi as the mother-daughter duo along with Paintal, Avtar Gill, Ravi Gossain, Poojaa Raajput and Harshita Shukla.

“A play dealing with a sweet relationships gone sour. I am glad it received a standing ovation,” divulged Producer DS Pahwa while Raman Kumar averred, “The emotional turmoil between a mother and a daughter in the play was well received by the audience.”

The cast and crew of Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye were spotted at the do during their first show at Rang Sharda Auditorium, Bandra. Avtar Gill played Dinesh Kumar alias DK, who is a friend to Sudha Chandran’s on-screen character, Sagarika. Paintal played the role of a loyalist who accompanies Sagarika as a Tabla player whereas Ravi Gossain played Reema’s (Ridhima Rakesh Bedi) husband. Ridhima portrayed Sagarika’s daughter who blames her mother on her father’s alcoholism, eventually dying an untimely and unnatural death. The audience applauded the performance and the dialogue delivery.

DS Pahwa’s association with the Indian entertainment industry goes back to the 70s, where from running a cinema hall in Delhi, he has distributed over 40 Hindi films. Beside film distribution, DS Pahwa has produced several critically acclaimed plays with numerous Bollywood personalities. “The cast was a breeze to work with. The play has shaped up really well, all thanks to master director Raman Kumar,” concluded DS Pahwa.

Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye is all set for another enthralling show at Royal Opera House, Mumbai, India’s only surviving opera house, before embarking on a nationwide tour soon.

हार्वर्ड और IE के भूतपूर्व छात्र करण गुप्ता और IE बिज़ेनस स्कूल द्वारा शुरू किये गये अनोखे आई एम वूमन अवॉर्ड्स महिला की उपलब्धियों का जश्न मनाता है और उनकी ताक़त को पहचानता है। इसकी शुरुआत चार साल पहले की गई थी। ये कार्यक्रम एक ऐसा अभियान है जिसका मानना है कि महिलाएं शक्ति का भंडार हैं। इस मंच पर हर साल ताक़तवर महिलाएं अपनी निजी और प्रोफ़ेशनल ज़िंदगी के बारे में बात करती हैं जिसके ज़रिए वो तमाम महिलाओं को प्रेरित करती हैं।

आई एम वूमन अवॉर्ड्स के चौथे संस्करण के‌ दौरान एक बार फिर से महिला अचीवर्स द्वारा अलग अलग क्षेत्रों में कामयाबी हासिल करने का जश्न‌ मनाया गया और ऐसी महिलाओं द्वारा किये गये अद्भुत कार्यों को सम्मानित किया गया। इस साल इस पुरस्कार से नवाज़े जानेवालों की फ़ेहरिस्त में अभिनेत्री और लेखिका सोनाली बेंद्रे, व्यवसाई और‌ डिज़ाइनर नीता लुल्ला, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता सिंधुताई सकपाल, इंफ़ोसिस की लर्निंग हेड किशा गुप्ता, जेनेसिस की को-फ़ाउंडर दीपिका गेहानी, लेखिका प्रिया कुमार, सामाजिक‌ कार्यकर्ता और वकील दीपिका सिंह रजावत और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता निहारी मंडाली शामिल हैं। इस शो को होस्ट किया पावर वूमन मानसी जोशी रॉय और गायिका मानसी स्कॉट ने। दोनों‌ के साथ साथ कार्यक्रम का संचालन अभिनेता और निर्देशक रोहित रॉय, तनुज विरमानी और प्रवीण दबास ने किया। इस प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार समारोह में ज़ाएद खान,‌ सुलेमान मर्चेंट, आरती और कैलाश सुरेंद्रनाथ, संदीप सोपारकर आदि उपस्थित थे। इनके अलावा 2017 में हुए आई एम वूमेन अवॉर्ड्स की विजेता क्रिषिका लुल्ला और 2016 की विजेता किरण बावा, महेका मीरपुरी और रेश्मा मर्चेंट भी मौजूद थीं।

इस साल हुई परिचर्चा में इस बात पर विशेष ज़ोर दिया गया कि किस तरह से बिज़नेस में दिलचस्पी लेनेवाली  महिलाओं का सशक्तिकरण किया जाये और किस तरह से वो सभी मिलकर अपने-अपने समाज की मदद कर सकती हैं। 

एक लम्बे समय तक न्यूयॉर्क में हाई ग्रेड कैंसर का इलाज कराकर हाल ही में काम पर लौटीं सोनाली बेंद्रे ने‌ कहा, "मेरी मां अक्सर कहा करती थी कि कब तक जब कि आप आर्थिक रूप से स्वतंत्रत न हो जाओ, तब तक शादी मत करो। अगर आप आर्थिक रूप से स्वतंत्र नही‌ं हो तो आप अपने लिये कभी खड़े नहीं हो सकोगे। फिर ये आप पर निर्भर करता है कि आप अगले दिन ही हार मान जाओ। वो अलग बात है।‌ ये आपकी च्वाइस है। मगर आपको अपनी शुरुआत आर्थिक रूप से एक स्वतंत्र व्यक्ति के तौर पर करनी पड़ेगी। 

इस तरह से रिश्तों में एक किस्म की बराबरी भी बनी रहती है।"

बेहद उत्साहित नज़र आ रहीं सोनाली ने आगे कहा, "मुझे हमेशा से अवॉर्ड्स और रिवॉर्ड्स दोनों ही पसंद रहे हैं मगर अवॉर्ड्स के लिए मेरे दिल में एक अलग ही जगह रही है। मुझे लगता है कि करण गुप्ता एज्युकेशन फ़ाउंडेशन बहुत अच्छा काम‌ कर रहा है। ऐसे में मेरे लिए ये अवॉर्ड और ज़्यादा मायने रखता है।"

अन्य पुरस्कार विजेताओं ने भी इस साल पुरस्कार जीतने पर अपनी ख़ुशी साझा की। 2018 में आई एम वूमन अवॉर्ड से सुष्मिता सेन, टाटा ग्रुप की इंडस्ट्रियलिस्ट लिया टाटा, अभिनेत्री और आरजे मलिश्का मेंडोसा, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता ज्योति धावाले और प्रीति श्रीनिवासन, एडवोकेट आभा सिंह और दानदाता मिशेल पूनावाला, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय डिज़ाइनर शेन पिकॉक और व्यवसायी भावना जसरा को दिया गया था। वहीं 2017 में आई एम पुरस्कार अमृता फ़डनवीस, लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल, गौरी सावंत, फ़राह अली खान, मालिनी अग्रवाल, शाहीन मिस्त्री और क्रिषिका लुल्ला को प्रदान किया गया था। अगर 2016 की बात की जाये तो ये पुरस्कार सोनम कपूर, रेशमा मर्चेंट,‌ महेका मीरपुरी, रौनक रॉय, देविता सराफ़, किरण बावा, निशा जामवाल, अमृता रायचंद, रूबल नागी और लकी मोरानी को दिया गया था।

करण गुप्ता ने कहा, "IE बिज़नेस स्कूल और KGEF सक्रिय रूप से बिज़नेस करनेवाली महिलाओं की मदद करता है और उन्हें स्कॉलरशिप प्रदान करता है। हम इस बात से अच्छी तरह से वाकिफ़ हैं कि बिज़नेस में महिलाओं को किस तरह की चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ता है। यही वजह है कि हम उन्हें हर संभव मदद करने की कोशिश करते हैं।"

अंत में 70 के दशक का वो मशहूर अंग्रेज़ी गाना याद आता है जिसके बोल कुछ इस तरह से हैं - 'आई एम अ वूमन।।। हियर मी रोर, इन नंबर्स टू बिग टू इग्नोर। इफ़ आई हैव टू, आई कैन डू एनिथिंग। आई एम स्ट्रॉन्ग, आई एम इनविंसिबल, आई एम अ वूमन'।
